Why We Exist

Inclusive World NZ exists to help create a world where disability is understood, accepted, and respected from an early age.

Too often, disability is misunderstood, hidden, or spoken about only in terms of limitation. Children grow up without seeing disability reflected in positive, everyday stories, and this lack of representation shapes attitudes that can last a lifetime.

Inclusive World NZ was created by lived experience, not theory. Our founder has lived with significant disability since childhood and understands firsthand the barriers disabled people face—not just physically, but socially and emotionally. That experience drives everything we create.

Through storytelling, flipbooks, audiobooks, and educational resources, we normalise disability and celebrate diversity in ways children can understand. Our resources are designed to spark empathy, encourage inclusion, and help children see difference as a natural part of life.

Inclusive World NZ is owned and created by Children with Disability NZ, a registered New Zealand charity. Many of our resources are provided free to ensure accessibility for families, schools, and communities. Premium resources help fund our work and allow us to keep creating inclusive content for everyone.
