Resources for families, schools and communities

Many people want to talk to children about inclusion but do not always know where to start. Our library provides practical resources that can help open those conversations in a gentle and positive way.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, support worker, caregiver, whānau member, or part of the wider community, these downloads are designed to help encourage understanding, empathy, and inclusion from an early age. By supporting positive conversations around disability, children can learn that disability is a natural part of everyday life and that every child deserves to feel accepted, respected, and included. These resources can be used at home, in classrooms, within support services, or out in the community to help create environments where differences are understood and celebrated rather than misunderstood or excluded. Small conversations and shared learning experiences can help build more inclusive communities for future generations..

Free and paid downloads

Some resources in our library are free so they can be easily shared and used by families, schools and community groups.

Other downloads help support the ongoing work of Children with Disability NZ and allow us to keep developing new inclusive resources for children and communities.
