No Dedicated Disability Policy Published

You have been directed to this page because Inclusive World NZ could not identify a clearly published, dedicated disability policy page for the political party you selected.

Why This Matters to Disabled New Zealanders

Disability policy affects almost every part of life. It includes access to disability support services, healthcare, education, employment, housing, transport, income support, accessibility, carers and the ability of disabled people to participate fully in their communities.

For disabled New Zealanders and their families, these are not minor election issues. Government decisions can directly affect the support people receive, the services available to them and their ability to live independently and participate in society.

Where Is the Disability Policy?

At the time this page was last reviewed, we were unable to identify a dedicated disability policy page published by the selected party that we could link voters directly to.

This does not necessarily mean the party has no policies that affect disabled people. Disability-related commitments may appear within health, education, housing, employment, social development or other broader policy areas.

Disability Should Be Visible in Election Policy

Inclusive World NZ believes disabled people should be able to easily identify what each political party intends to do about disability, accessibility and disability support.

Disabled people and their families should not have to search through dozens of unrelated policy documents to discover how a political party's decisions may affect their lives.

A clearly identified disability policy gives voters an opportunity to compare parties, understand their priorities and make informed decisions before voting.

An Invitation to Political Parties

We invite every New Zealand political party to provide Inclusive World NZ with its current disability and disability-related policies.

If a party provides a dedicated disability policy, or publishes one during the 2026 election campaign, we will update our Election 2026 resource and provide voters with a direct link to the official policy.
